WALLA WALLA — The DeSales volleyball team used a balanced attack as it rolled to a four-set victory against Riverside Thursday.

After the Irish won the first two sets, 28-26, 25-23, they dropped the third set, 25-15.

But DeSales bounced back and clinched the match with a fourth-set win, 25-17.

“I was extremely impressed with how well the girls played tonight,” DeSales head coach Hailee Rogers said. “It was all about the teamwork tonight — we just played really well together.

“Riverside is a tough team,” Rogers continued. “I was happy with the way we attacked the ball and finished plays.”

Claire Conley led the way for DeSales, as she put down 12 kills to go with six digs and three blocks.

Renee Roach finished 19-of-19 serving while adding five aces a team-high 19 digs.

Allesyn Lyons dished out 24 assists to go with 15 digs and Stacia Deal went a perfect 7-of-7 serving with 11 digs.

The Irish open the Southeast 2B conference playoffs against Tri-Cities Prep Nov. 2.
