Bethel Assembly to hold discussion at 6 p.m. service

WALLA WALLA — Bethel Assembly of God, S. 342 Wilbur, Walla Walla, will hold a discussion at the 6 p.m. Sunday service.

Topics to be discussed will include, “Is there such an event as the rapture?” and “Is it necessary to attend church?”

German Sabbath school begin Nov. 2 at WWU

COLLEGE PLACE — German Sabbath school will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. starting Nov. 2, at Melvin K. West Fine Arts Center Auditorium Room 208, Walla Walla University campus, 204 S. College Ave.

Deutsche Sabbatschule will have singing, Bible story and discussion, all in easy German. It will meet on the first Saturday of each month.

All ages are welcome, regardless of level of German language skill.

Blue Mountain Community Church sets Festival of Gifts

WALLA WALLA — Blue Mountain Community Church, 928 Sturm Ave., will hold its annual Festival of Gifts, 9-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

There will be unique gifts and goodies from local vendors, a breakfast and lunch and homemade cinnamon rolls.

Santa will be there for photos. Proceeds go to church programs and activities.

First Thursday Concert slated at St. Paul’s Episcopal Nov. 7

WALLA WALLA — The First Thursday Concert at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St. will be

12:15-12:50 p.m. Nov. 7.

Featured performers will be Walla Walla High School vocal ensembles, Chamber Singers and Belles Voix, directed by Norbert Rossi.

The concert is free, but donations are accepted. They will be given to the Christian Aid Center, the charity chosen by the performers.

First Christian Church to host Bluegrass Gospel celebration

MILTON-FREEWATER — First Christian Church, 518 S. Main St., will host a night in celebration of Bluegrass Gospel.
