KENNEWICK — Walla Walla High School lost to Kennewick 3-1 Saturday at Lampson Stadium in a Mid-Columbia Conference match.
The Blue Devils (1-13) outshot Kennewick 10-4, but came away with the lone goal to show for it, an Ana Gutierrez ringer in the 53rd minute.
“We had our chances,” Wa-Hi coach Keven Peck said. “Sometimes in soccer you can have the lion’s share of possession, outshoot your opponent and still lose. That was the case today.”
Hannah Templeton had goals in the the 27th and 73rd minutes for Kennewick. Klarissa Baraja scored for Kennewick in the 67th.
Saturday’s loss concludes the regular season for Wa-Hi.
“The team has come a long way over the past nine weeks,” Peck said.
