ONTARIO — Mac-Hi can hang another Greater Oregon League title banner it its gym.
The McLoughlin boys soccer team, ranked No. 4 in Oregon’s RPI ranking system, secured its league title with a 3-1 victory over Ontario Saturday, running its season record to 12-1-1 with one non-league match remaining on the regular season slate.
The Pioneers got goals from Moises Manon, Christian Torres and Alex Saldana in the win. Alberto Herrera had two assists and Saldana added one.
“Ontario always plays well against a good opponent,” Mac-Hi coach Jose Garcia said. “They gave us a good fight but we still missed too many opportunities to score.”
The Pioneers fired away with 17 shots on goal.
The Pioneers will play Monday against Riverside in Boardman, Ore., with the chance to avenge their one loss on the season.
