Most in Congress did not read Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is reported to be 2,700 pages long, (more than five reams of paper).

The instructions to implement the plan are more than 20,000 pages long (40 reams of paper)

Now I ask, just how stupid is that? These are the people elected to represent us?

No Republican voted for the bill, just Democrats voted for it.

Most, if not all, did not even read the bill before voting for it.

They were willing to vote for something that will affect all the citizens of the U.S. and did not even bother to read it.

Just how is that being responsible to the people?

Remember, Nancy Pelosi said, “We have to pass the bill to find out what is in it.” Wow!

Brilliant!

Remember who voted for this bill, Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. Did you vote for either of them? If so, do you share any of the blame? I think so.

Incidentally, I have a real problem calling Barack Obama the president. The United States’ president is supposed to represent all the people, whether he agrees with them or they with him. He represents only a faction of the U.S. citizens.
