Rosas resigns as Mavericks GM after only three months

DALLAS — Gersson Rosas resigned as general manager of the Dallas Mavericks just three months into his new job.

Rosas said the position “was not the best fit for me at this point in my career.” He said the decision was made “solely by me” and that owner Mark Cuban tried to change his mind.

Rosas filled a position that had been vacant since former coach and GM Don Nelson left the franchise eight years ago. He reported to Nelson’s son, Donnie Nelson, the president of basketball operations.
