More than 3,000 costumed kids are expected to hit the sidewalks downtown Thursday as they trick-or-treat their way through businesses.
The annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat event runs 3-5 p.m. on Halloween.
To prepare for the onslaught of pedestrians, Main Street will be closed from Palouse Street to Second Avenue.
According to the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation, barricades will begin going up at 2:30 p.m. and should be taken down by 5:30 p.m.
Vehicles parked along the roadway during that period will not be allowed to move until the event has ended.
