Pomeroy City Council
Council members are Dennis Gillis, Donna Hunt, James Fuchs, Alesia Ruchert and Kaye Carlson. With all present Tuesday, the council:
PARKING: After hearing citizen complaint about a neighbor’s rock blocking his parking, the council voted to take no action because the neighbor is not in violation of city ordinances.
WATER GRANT: Authorized the mayor to sign the application for grant and loan assistance from USDA Rural Development for the Zumwalt improvements and Sunnyside reservoir replacement project.
PLAYGROUND: Ruchert reported Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program makes grants for playground equipment, and that Pacific Outdoor Equipment could assess the city’s facilities and make recommendations for toddler play equipment. She offered to see a playground project through to completion even though her term expires at the end of the year.
SCHOOL PARKING: Heard report that Pomeroy School District has decided not to revise parking around the drop-off point for students, and will instead control the street during times of the day when it is in use by students.
