CLARKSTON — The Waitsburg-Prescott cross country team had several outstanding individual performances here at Chief Timothy State Park in the Island Run Invite.
Freshman runner Emily Adams placed fourth out of 45 runners with a time of 17.48.27.
Adams beat two other top runners from W-P’s district, senior Heath Siegal of St. John-Endicott and Lucy Eggleston, a junior from Asotin.
“I look for these three girls to be battling every time we meet this season,” W-P coach Joanna Lanning said. “Emily (Adams) never lost a race last year in her eighth-grade season.”
On the boys side, senior E.J. Meserve (16:05.05) finished 17th of 61 runners to lead the team.
W-P tied for last place with Potlatch with 188 points on the boys side. Asotin won with 28 points.
