Theft and vandalism reports were filed Wednesday and today unless otherwise noted.

Walla Walla

Hit-and-run collision reported on East Maple Street: minor injuries reported. Police believe the suspect vehicle was street racing at the time of the collision.

Two-vehicle, non-injury collision at the intersection of Plaza Way and Tietan Street.

Rear-end collision reported at the intersection of Tietan Street and Second Avenue: no injuries reported.

Walla Walla County

Deputies transported a 39-year-old man for mental evaluation after he threatened to kill himself with a knife. The man’s wife had reportedly confronted him about an extramarital affair, sparking the suicide attempt. The 39-year-old’s middle school-aged son managed to wrestle two knives away from him before police arrived.

A Walla Walla woman reported the Department of Transportation sent her a bill for using a toll road in Seattle. The charges were dropped when DOT officials realized the plate reading device had incorrectly identified a license plate.

A North Campbell Road man reported he interrupted a vehicle prowl at his home.

College Place

Two vehicle collision on Southeast Meadowbrook Boulevard: no injuries reported.


A deer ran into the side of Ford truck on Bolles Road near McKay Alto Road.


A 62-year-old man allegedly punched a 36-year-old man at Schnitzer Steel. The younger man allegedly backed into the elder man’s wife while attempting to unload scrap metal. No serious injuries reported. The 62-year-old was trespassed from the scrap yard following the assault.


MF Police

James D. Webb, 43, Milton-Freewater, Wednesday. Charge: investigation of possession of methamphetamine.
