CLARKSTON, Wash. — Josie Lonai continued her stellar junior cross-country season, finishing third overall (19:45.87) here Saturday at the Seaport Invite.
Lonai was followed by her teammate, Susie Romero-diaz, who finished eighth overall (21:01.23).
“I don’t know why I expect Josie and Susie to keeping having great races but they really are,” Mac-Hi coach John Milleson said. “They keep getting better and better each week.”
Maria Saldana (43rd, 25:03.50) and Mindy Harmon (50th, 28:19.76) had personal records of almost three minutes apiece, Milleson stated.
On the boys’ side, Austin Cosineau was top dog for Mac-Hi and finished 14th (17:52.01).
Andrew Kain was 27th (18:52.30) and Tristan Warne grabbed 42nd (19:43.37) while Mario Carrillo got 43rd (19:51.87).
Also finishing back-to-back for Mac-Hi, was Cody Harmon (52nd, 20:13.20) and Colin Dygert (53rd, 20:17.68).
“Everybody had personal records today,” Milleson said.
Waitsburg-Prescott’s Emily Adams posted a ninth-place finish in the girls race with a mark of 21:01.5.
E.J. Meserve was W-P’s top finisher on the boys side. He was 20th in 18:11.6.
