Raymond M. Jones died Aug. 17, 2013. He was born in Minnesota in 1920. He is a veteran of World War II, serving in Italy and Africa. He earned a masters of education through the University of Montana.
Moving to Walla Walla he was involved in the after-school sports program, and he was a teacher at Edison School until he retired. In retirement, he was a watercolor artist and did volunteer work until his illness.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; his son, Lars; three grandchildren of Florida; sister, Marilyn Sloan of Colorado.
