PASCO — The Waitsburg-Prescott volleyball team was forced to play shorthanded, which resulted in a straight-set loss to Tri-Cities Prep, 25-5, 25-11, 25-12, here Tuesday.
W-P’s (4-9, 0-2) head coach Angie Potts said her team was down a few players because of academic issues, which forced her to use players in different positions.
“The first set the girls were looking for someone else to step up rather taking control of the floor themselves,” Potts said. “During the second and third set they started to play better, but we had too many unforced errors.”
Paige Wood racked up four kills and nine digs, Enedina Fuentes had three kills and seven digs and Analise Salazar added 11 digs.
W-P hosts Dayton Thursday.
