PALO ALTO, Calif. – Walla Walla High graduate Aaron Nelson continues his stellar running at Washington at the Stanford Invitational here Friday, running a 28:44.65 10,000-meter race.

The mark is the second-fastest ever for the Huskies, and best by a Washington runner since David Bazzi’s school-record 28:34.54 in 2001.

Nelson’s finish was sixth among Division I runners at the invite.

An All-American — Washington’s first cross country runner in 15 years named to the honor last fall —Nelson will likely rank sixth in the nation after his showing.
