The eighth annual Teddy Bear Show and High Tea, hosted by the Walla Walla Columbia School Retirees, was most successful, said Deanna “Dee” Aichele in a release.
The tea raises funds for two $1,000 scholarships for future teaches and related education personnel, she said.
Proceeds from the 225 who attended came to $2,545.
The Teddy Bear Craft Bazaar sold 115 bears and featured quilts, pillows, aprons and other items.
The four-course tea offered fresh fruit, sandwiches, a medley of cookies and chocolates.
Pamela Lee and Dee won the raffle for two handmade bears
Plans are in the works for the ninth Teddy Bear Show and High Tea, which will be Feb. 28, 2015.
