Raymond Lee Tyrrell of Idaho Falls, Idaho and formerly of Milton- Freewater passed away on April 2, 2014, at the age of 77.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Milton- Freewater with Pastor Steve Lyons officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at the Milton- Freewater Cemetery.
Mr. Tyrrell was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Pender, Neb., to Mattie “Lucille” and Omar Tyrrell. He had one older sister, Alice “Marie” Tyrrell. Mr. Tyrrell attended school in Umapine, graduating in 1955. On Dec. 21, 1957, he married the love of his life, Joan G. Toner, at the First Christian Church in Milton- Freewater. The couple adopted three children, Raymond B. “Chip,” Brian James, and Melissa Lee Tyrrell between 1964 to 1970. Mr. Tyrrell worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as well as attended various tech schools and trainings. Mr. And Mrs. Tyrrell also adopted and raised Melissa’s three children, Jennah, Amanda and Tyler Tyrrell.
Mr. Tyrrell is survived by his three children, Raymond B. “Chip” Tyrrell of Milton-Freewater, Brian James Tyrrell of Dallas, Texas, and Melissa Lee Tyrrell of Walla Walla; his seven grandchildren, Tasha and Taylor Tyrrell of Dallas, Texas, Jennah Hoff of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Tyler Tyrrell of Kennewick, Amanda Tyrrell of Walla Walla, and Tristan and Trinity Tyrrell of Walla Walla; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Haileigh, Mackenzie and Eli Hoff of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Myah Tyrrell of Walla Walla.
