Pomeroy hands W-P 10-8 loss

PRESCOTT — The Waitsburg-Prescott softball team committed a whopping nine errors in a 10-8 loss to Pomeroy on Tuesday.

Waitsburg-Prescott head coach Angie Potts said W-P was missing a few players, which forced Potts to make some adjustments defensively. Starting pitcher Jaidyn Brown struck out six and only walked one, but the defense behind her simply didn’t make enough plays.

“We just didn’t provide the offensive and defensive support needed,” Potts said. “We’ll get back to work and get things cleaned for our league games coming up.”

W-P finished with only four hits, as Waitsburg-Prescott scored four runs in both the first and third innings.

W-P travels to face Tri-Cities Prep in a doubleheader on Saturday.
