Walla Walla

A vehicle parked at the 600 block of University Street was struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday 2:36 p.m. Police found the driver and his vehicle three blocks away on North Madison Street and cited him for hit-and-run.

A residence at the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue was broken into Thursday between 10:30-5:20 p.m. Numerous items were taken, including a laptop computer, flat screen TV and digital camera.

Walla Walla County

A 5-year-old was found walking down Reser Road about one-fifth of a mile from his home Wednesday morning 7:52 a.m. The boy told police his was walking to his preschool. Police later found the boy’s mother asleep at the Reser Road residence. In a separate incident investigated by Walla Walla police later that day, the same 5-year-old boy was found with his 20-month-old sibling alone in a vehicle in the Plaza Way shopping center, 1600 Plaza Way, at 6:45 p.m., while the children’s father was shopping for groceries. The father was cited for child neglect.

A resident of the 200 block of York Street reported an MP3 player, purse and IDs taken from her vehicle Wednesday overnight.


A resident of the 200 block of NW Sixth Avenue Friday morning reported the faceplate taken from his vehicle’s stereo.

Umatilla County

A resident of the 200 block of South Water Street in Weston reported someone shot a BB pellet through a screen door Wednesday overnight.

A Winesap Road resident reported 10 gallons of fuel stolen from his vehicle Wednesday overnight.

A Ferguson Road resident reported batteries stolen from a John Deere tractor Wednesday overnight.

A resident of the 85200 block of Highway 339 reported a well pump motor stolen from his property.

Jacob Allen Whitney, 19, address unknown. Charge: investigation of possession of controlled substance.

MF Police

Kolby Christopher Dewitt, 27, 817 Perkins Street. Charge: investigation of possession of controlled substance.
