Walla Walla

A 27-month-old wearing diapers and a shirt was found alone on a porch of a residence at the 200 block of Tausick Way at 4:48 p.m. Friday. The parent is being investigated for child neglect.

A woman, 27, was wandering yards near the 00 block of Lenore Street at 4:55 p.m. Friday. Police apprehended her after she tried to enter the residence of a day care. She was transported to an area hospital for observation.

A single-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday at 12:49 a.m. when Esperanza Gonzales, 17, drove up the curb and hit a tree in front of Cascade Natural Gas, 324 Rose St. The only passenger in the vehicle was not injured. Gonzales’ injuries were not reported.

Sun Rental, 1351 The Dalles Military Road, reported theft of a jack hammer valued at $1,000 Thursday 12:43 p.m. to midnight.

A two-vehicle, rear-end collision occurred at the 800 block of South Ninth Avenue on Friday at 12:09 p.m. Injuries were not reported. Rear driver left scene without identifying herself and was later pulled over and cited by Washington State Patrol at Highway 125 and Southeast Meadowbrook Street.


Milton-Freewater Fire Department responded to a hay fire at 85400 block of Highway 339 Friday at 6:42 p.m. Several bales of hay burned along with a shed and trailer. No injuries or other structures were damaged.


WW Police

Sarah Ann Miller, 22, 979 N.E. Empire St., College Place. Charge: investigation of felony possession of controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Nicolaas William Van Putten, Island City, Ore. Charge: investigation of fugitive from justice.

Quentin Nicolas Hunter, 18, address unknown. Charge: investigation of felony theft and possession of stolen property.
