TOUCHET — The Touchet High School baseball team was swept in a doubleheader against Liberty Christian in 1B action, 10-4 and 5-4.

After dropping game one by six runs, the Indians held a 4-3 lead going into the seventh of game two.

“We had them right where we wanted them in the second game,” Touchet coach Tim McKeown said. “We got the first two batters out in top of the seventh and then the top of the lineup came up. They loaded the bases on two hits and an intentional walk. Then Ryan Steele, who was previously 0-for-3 in the game, doubled in two runs to take the lead late.”

McKeown was also unhappy with errors at the wrong time, which have been costly throughout the year, he said.

The Indians (3-8 overall, 1-5 league) made five errors in the two games combined.
