Wine Valley to host PNW Senior Players' Championship

WALLA WALLA — The Wine Valley Golf Club will host the Pacific Northwest Senior Players’ Championship on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The 4th annual tournament will welcome 52 teams — made up of one Northwest PGA Professional and one amateur — for the two-day competition.

PGA Professional Jeff Fought, of Black Butte Ranch, Ore., returns to defend his 2013 title. Other past champions include PGA Professionals Mark Keating of Meriweather Golf Course, Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo Colf and Country Club, Chuck Milne of Vanco Driving Range, Tom Carey of Meriweather Golf Course and Fred Haney of the Reserve Vineyard Golf Course.

The tournament will also feature individual professional and individual amateur competitions, with gross and net payouts. The team four-ball competition will be based solely off gross scores.

The tournament tees off at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, while the second and final round will tee off at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
