WALLA WALLA — A 22-year-old man and his 15-year-old brother were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of breaking into and vandalizing the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds on Sunday, officials said.

According to Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy John King, Devin R. Aguilar and his younger brother broke into and entered the fairgrounds and damaged the security office.

The pair were captured on surveillance footage before they realized they were being filmed and disabled the security cameras, King said.

Walla Walla police are investigating whether the two are connected with a rash of thefts and vandalism in south Walla Walla that also occurred Sunday,

Aguilar appeared in Walla Walla County Superior Court this morning, where bail was set at $20,000. His younger brother was lodged at the Walla Walla County Juvenile Justice Center.

Sad. Why would anyone do that, let alone bring your little brother into it. People just amaze me.
