W-M girls nipped by Union

UNION, Ore. — The Weston-McEwen girls had two opportunities to take the lead in the waning moments against Union, but could not convert and fell, 57-56, on Tuesday.

The TigerScots rallied from a six-point deficit in the fourth quarter, as head coach Amber Doremus said her team “fought hard and got some key defensive stops” down the stretch.

Ammarae Broncheau led W-M with 18 points.

The TigerScots face Pilot Rock on Friday.
