COLFAX — Pomeroy won the Southeast 1B/2B district wrestling tournament for the second straight year Saturday and will be bringing 10 wrestlers to the regional tournament in Kittitas, Wash. Friday.

“The kids really showed up and wrestled well,” Pomeroy coach Brian Slaybaugh said. “They left it all on the mat.”

Wyatt Hyer (160) dominated as well, winning his only two matches by pin.

Havin Heytvelt (145) lost one decision, won another and pinned two of his competitors.
