David MacNall is looking for one to two volunteers with bicycles to help him train for his crosscountry ride. Training rides will be between Dayton and Walla Walla, Tri-Cities and Spokane.

A Dayton resident, David lost the use of his legs and uses a hand-cranked tricycle.

He hopes to train in March through September when temperatures are 70 degrees in the daytime and 60 degrees at night.

He will raise funds for Dayton’s food bank and charities supported through Project Timothy in Columbia County.

He needs help carrying a backpack, conversation and water for the longer-distance rides.

For more details, contact him at 509-629-1156 or facebook.com/david.macnall or twitter at dayton_dave. He plans to broadcast his trip via Twitter.

Etcetera appears in daily and Sunday editions. Annie Charnley Eveland can be reached at annieeveland@wwub.com or afternoons at 526-8313.
