Blue Ridge team wins trophy at robotics competition


The Blue Ridge Lego Robotic Girls Team The Wave Crashers won the Trophy Award Tri-Cities Regional Gracious Professionalism Award at the Washington FIRST Robotics Official Qualifying Tournament on Jan. in Richland, according to the Walla Walla Public Schools Week in Review online newsletter.

“Big thanks to Amy Myers who runs our Robotic Club and Girl Scouts in our Talent After School Program,” said Ruben Hernandez, 21st Century Afterschool Program Site coordinator.

“Amy and her mother are the instructors of the Lego Robotic Club. I’m super proud of our seven fifth-grade students who represented us.”
