Boise State adds five assistant football coaches

BOISE — Boise State football coach Bryan Harsin has recently announced the addition of five more assistants and two other members of the football program staff.

Harsin has chosen Kent Riddle to coach running backs and special teams. The former Oregon State quarterback coached held the same job at Boise State from 2001-05.

Eliah Drinkwitz is the tight ends coach. He spent the past two seasons as Arkansas State’s running backs coach and was co-offensive coordinator in 2013.

Defensive line coach Steve Caldwell played defensive end and linebacker at Arkansas State, where he coached last season. He also has coached at Arkansas, Tennessee and Nevada.

Julius Brown was chosen to coach the secondary and serve as recruiting coordinator. The 2006 Boise State graduate was an assistant to Harsin last year at Arkansas State. He was director of player personnel at Boise State from 2009-11.

Harsin also named Jeff Pitman as strength and conditioning coach, Antwon Murray as director of player personnel and Brian Wilkinson as director of football operations.
