Dave Reller, manager of Engineering & Operations for Columbia Rural Electric Association, has earned the Management Essentials Certificate from the National Rural Electric Association, the co-op announced.
The program includes core courses to lay the foundation of the essential skills co-op managers and supervisors need while also enabling participants to tailor parts of the program from a list of elective courses, the announcement explained.
The National Rural Electric Association is a national service organization for more than 900 rural electric utilities that provide electricity to about 42 million consumers in 47 states. They sell about 12 percent of all electric energy in the U.S.
The Management Essentials Certificate program develops key people skills that cooperative managers and supervisors need to help improve employee performance. By developing one-on-one interpersonal skills, graduates can build an effective team environment, boost job satisfaction, foster better working relationships and ultimately achieve more productive results through their employees.
