Lifetime Walla Walla resident, Patricia Esther Bailey, 83, passed away Dec. 31, 2013, at Washington Odd Fellows Home, 534 Boyer Avenue, Walla Walla.
Patricia was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Walla Walla, to Chester Thomas and Frances M. Reese Goble. She attended local schools, graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1948. On June 5, 1948, she and Robert William Bailey married in Walla Walla. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker, working at part time jobs through the years as well. She and her husband traveled to many Wagon Wheeler functions, and also went with her daughters to many horse functions and parades. Patricia bowled on a Tuesday night bowling league for many years. She loved spending time camping and fishing at area rivers and lakes. She was a member of the Milton-Freewater Eagles Lodge.
Patricia is survived by three daughters, Cheryl and her husband Ed Coleman and Janis and her husband Roger Myers, all of Spokane, and Betty Correa of Walla Walla; her son, Alan T. Bailey of Walla Walla; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband in August 2000.
The memorial service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla. Chaplain Doug Versteeg will officiate. Light refreshments will be served following the service. Contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
