DAYTON — Not many things could slow down the Asotin boys basketball team on Saturday, and certainly not Dayton.

Asotin nailed 10 3-pointers including five in the second quarter alone as the Panthers beat the Bulldogs 64-34.

“Some of the shots they made were really, really deep,” Dayton coach Roy Ramirez said. “Our guys were out there but they didn’t think they would shoot it from that far out there.”

Asotin nailed 12 of its 17 shots in the second quarter as the Panthers held a 40-15 halftime lead. Zach Waggoner led the Bulldogs with 13 points.

Dayton returns to action with a home game against Riverside on Tuesday.
