COLLEGE PLACE — Both Walla Walla Valley Academy and DeSales canned nine 3-pointers in a shootout at Walla Walla University here Saturday night, but the Knights came out on top, 66-53, thanks to 19 points from Matt Coseart and 16 from Dustin Rose.

DeSales’ Zachery Leahy had 13 points while Cameron Richman added 10.

WWVA held a slim 30-29 lead at the half, but outscored DeSales 17-4 in the third to pull away.

“We gave up way too many second opportunities, and a well coached team like WWVA will hurt you when that happens.” DeSales coach Allyn Griffin said.
