COLLEGE PLACE — The Walla Walla Valley girls basketball team could only muster six field goals as the Knights fell to Asotin 50-19 on Saturday.

The Panthers, on the other hand, poured in 19 field goals and forced a whopping 34 WWVA turnovers. Knights head coach Lloyd Redberg said Asotin’s offense worked inside-out to perfection.

“We didn’t really give ourselves very many chances to score,” Redberg said. “Hats off to them, they were really, really aggressive and we didn’t respond. They hit outside shots and they got a lot of points in the low post.”

Daisy Nateras led WWVA with five points. Sam Nicholas scored a game-high 12 for Asotin.

The Knights square off with Waitsburg-Presscott on Monday.
