Virginia J. Cook (Miller) passed away at her home in College Place on Dec. 30, 2013.
Virginia was born in 1932 in Walla Walla. She and her husband, David, married in 1952 and lived the remainder of their lives in College Place. She was a member of the SDA Village Church family.
Through her life she loved working with people. She worked at Gardner’s, Clemens Café and Pizza Pete’s for many years. Her last position was with St. Mary’s Home Health.
Virginia is survived by her children, Gregory Cook and wife Diana, Carrie Bennett and husband David. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Gustafson; granddaughters, Sara Tarp, Megan Cook, Erin Coppin and Elissa Schleder; great-grandchildren, Logan and Madison Tarp, Ashley, Kathleen and John Coppin, Joshua and Jacob Peterson. Her husband, David, passed away in 2012.
The prayers and caring of all who have supported her and the family these past months is much appreciated.
A memorial service will be held in the SDA Village Church on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at 4 p.m. with a light dinner in the Fellowship Hall to follow.
