WALLA WALLA — There will be two registration periods this year for enrollment in Walla Walla Public Schools during the 2014-15 school year.
The first will be for middle and high schools. It will run from Feb. 3-28. The schools will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the first registration day, Feb. 3, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the end of the month.
Parents or guardians who wish to open enroll their child to a school outside of their attendance area may pick up an application at their area school or a release form from their current school district office during normal business hours beginning Jan. 27. However, forms will not be accepted in the receiving school until Feb. 3.
College Place High School is opening for ninth-grade students only in the fall of 2014. College Place ninth-graders who would like to attend Walla Walla High School or Lincoln High School need a completed release form from College Place Public Schools.
The second period for kindergarten and fall registration for elementary schools will be from April 21 to May 2. Kindergarten registration will be conducted at the student’s attendance area elementary school. Parents wishing to pick up the kindergarten registration information may do so at their child’s school beginning April 14. However, the completed registration forms will not be accepted until April 21.
Kindergarten/elementary registration hours are April 21 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and April 22-May 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open enrollment requests at WWPS will be granted to children of district employees first, then students residing within the district, then students from other districts. Contact your attendance area school for more information.
