Two cars driving west on Interstate 90 struck each other multiple times at high speed in a road rage incident Wednesday evening until they rolled in the median at Bellevue near Lake Sammamish.

The Washington State Patrol says the 32-year-old man driving one car tried to run away and was arrested by Bellevue police. The patrol says a 27-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy in his car were not hurt.

A 29-year-old man driving the other car was injured and taken to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue.

The Patrol says both cars were totaled.

The runaway driver, not only violated the law by driving away from the accident site, but by endangering the life of his own son, his wife and the life of other drivers on the road. He needs to endure the toughest penalty possible. He is a dangerous individual and his driving permit needs to be removed, as well as his gun permit. This kind of people, more times than not, have extensive criminal record, including child and spouse abuse. If left untreated they end up killing or seriously injuring someone on the road or at another public facility.

As for the other driver...well, what is good for the goose is good for the gander!

How do you know this guy has a gun permit paco? I've read multiple reports on this event and none of them mention a gun or a gun permit. Also, the one driver did not try to drive away, he tried to run (on foot) and was caught by Bellevue police. Otherwise I would tend to agree with your sentiment of the punishments these two should receive.

paco - your on the wrong side of the gun issue. There were more weapons sold to first time buyers in 2013 than ever before. There were more people join the NRA in 2013 than any year before. In turn the household being able to defend itself will take pressure off from the police but will probably increase the need to hire more coroners. Also creating more jobs in the factories that produce body bags.

Hardly. He demonstrated a lack of control and propensity to violence - definitely fits the bill for exclusion of gun ownership.

Don't feed the trolls.

downhillracer - in that case do you walk around in a straight jacket? If you don't you should for the safety of the citizens.

Copied and posted from another post...... .

Speaking of Guns.... Anyone see this story in the regular news? Not likely, as the main stream media will not promote this message! A man with a legal carried gun stopped a man with an illegal gun in the process of shooting others.......
