Waitsburg-Prescott boys lose chippy game to Asotin

WAITSBURG — The Waitsburg-Prescott High School basketball team suffered a 59-41 loss to Asotin here Saturday night.

Three players fouled out and three participants received technical fouls.

“It was pretty chippy all night long,” W-P coach Tavis Crittenden said. “We got behind in the first quarter, were ahead for awhile in the second quarter and they came out hot in the third quarter. We were down 15 by the start of the fourth.”

Devin Acevedo was the top scorer for W-P with 12 points and Chance Leroue added seven.

W-P (5-8 overall, 2-4 league) did connect on a 3-point, while Asotin nailed three. W-P plays hosts Colfax at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
