The Walla Walla County Traffic Safety Task Force will honor its 2013 Safety Super Star Award winners during its annual noon luncheon Jan. 30 in the Walla Walla Masonic Center, 607 E. Main St.
Open to the community, the luncheon is $13 per person and reservations must be made in advance by calling the Task Force at 524-2936.
Edica Esqueda, program manager , director of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, is scheduled as keynote speaker.
Award recipients include:
Appointment Keepers, Good Samaritan Award; Kyles Towing, Business Leadership; Becky Fletcher, Citizen Activist; Kevin Day, Carol Hermann, Everett White and Bob Giger of the Walla Walla County Public Works Department, Government Program Leadership; Ki Bealey and Sgt. Kevin Braman, Educational Outreach; Richard Greenwood, Public Health; Amy Harris, Capt. Chris Buttice, Detective Saul Reyna, Deputy Travis Goodwin and Deputy Gerrod Martin, Law Enforcement; Logan Dozier, Youth Initiative; and Officer Gunner Fulmer, 2013 Super Star Award.
This is the 14th year in which the Task Force will recognize individuals and businesses in the Walla Walla Valley for going above and beyond in promoting traffic safety or projects that enhance the safety of citizens.
Also being recognized at the luncheon will be Top DUI Enforcement Officers for 2013, volunteers and sponsors for Tipsy Taxi and Every 15 Minutes program and speakers of the areas Victim Impact Panel.
