Rigoberto O. Dejesus, 28, Milton-Freewater, was sentenced Jan. 21 on one count each violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and obstructing a law enforcement officer. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $82.40 in sheriff fees, $250 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab fee, 364 days in the county jail with 308 suspended, credit for 56 days served.  On Jan. 21 Dejesus pleaded guilty to possessing drug paraphernalia and to providing a false name to police, hindering or obstructing a law enforcement officer on or about Nov. 26.

Hector Salinas, 23, complete address unavailable, was charged Jan. 17 with violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Salinas is accused of possessing methamphetamine on Jan. 15.

Thomas J. McCarthy, 32, 314 S. Wilbur Ave., was charged Jan. 17 with seven counts of violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act and one count each of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a dangerous weapon. McCarthy is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing with intent to deliver heroin, methamphetamine, hydrocodone and oxycodone; possessing methadone and lorazepam; using drug paraphernalia; unlawfully owning, possessing or controlling a pistol; and possessing a spring-blade knife on Jan. 15.

Nicodemo R. Jimenez, 19, College Place, was sentenced Jan. 16 on one count each second-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault — domestic violence. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 360 days in the county jail, credit for 59 days served, 12 months community custody.  On Jan. 13 Jimenez pleaded guilty to knowingly and maliciously doing damage to his mother’s vehicle and cellphone and to pushing her out of the way, assaulting her in a degree not amounting to first-, second- or third-degree, on Oct. 29.
