Pirates upend Rosalia, 58-49

POMEROY — The Pomeroy girls basketball team defeated Rosalia, 58-49, Saturday.

Torri Koller led the Pirates with 17 points and Kaci Halbert chipped in another 10.

“It was well-rounded scoring,” Pomeroy coach Nettie Severs said. “It was a good game and free-throwing shooting kept us going. It was a good win.”

The Pirates hit 25-of-33 from the free-throw line.

The Pirates (11-4 overall, 7-4 Southeast 1B) play again Tuesday at Liberty-Christian at 6 p.m.
