Camp Fire kids focus on science projects

From oobleck to lava lamps, Camp Fire kids recently worked on science projects during After School Camp, said Camp Fire Communications Coordinator Peggy Needham.

In one experiment, they created a polymer bouncy ball using glue, water, borax and cornstarch. Polymers are molecules made up of repeating chemical units. Glue contains the polymer polyvinyl acetate, which cross-links to itself when reacted with borax.
