The owners of a local barbecue business have cut their January vacation short and will fire up the gill Thursday in preparation for this weekend’s Super Bowl.

Timm and Teri Johnson, owners of A Wing & A Prayer Barbecue + Catering are making good on their promise to Seattle Seahawks fans. The pair had originally intended to take off all of January to “recharge their batteries.” But they vowed to open early if the home team made the big game.

So starting tomorrow the downtown Walla Walla eatery, 201 E. Main St., will be back in business.

The restaurant will operate on its regular schedule: 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Those interested in placing Super Bowl party fare can do so via phone at 525-1566 or email at awingandaprayerbbq@gmail.com . Special barbecue orders can be picked up during hours of operation.
