Gospel choir featured at WWU Black History Sabbath celebration

COLLEGE PLACE — A gospel choir concert will highlight Walla Walla University’s Black History Sabbath celebration at 4 p.m. Saturday at University Church, 212 S.W. Fourth St.

Seven gospel choirs from the Northwest will come together for “Total Praise: A Festival of Choirs,” the university’s fifth annual free choir concert featuring black gospel music

Two special guests will be featured during the concert. Wayne Bucknow, pianist and composer, is head of the Department of Music at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala.

Andrew “Benji” Young, gospel choir conductor, is founding director of Dynamic Praise Gospel Choir of Huntsville.
