Walla Walla Chamber Music fest offers free performances

WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival will hold some free performances and rehearsals at various locations throughout the festival. Arrive a bit early for best seating.

Free outreach performances are scheduled for seniors at 10 a.m. Friday at the Walla Walla YMCA, 340 S. Park St., and 3 p.m. June 25 at the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA Medical Center, 77 Wainwright Drive.

The Sounds Like Fun! free concerts for youth will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Columbia County Library, 111 S. Third St., Dayton; 6 p.m. June 18 at the Walla Walla Public Library, 238 E. Alder St.; 3 p.m. June 23 at Walla Walla YWCA, 213 S. First Ave.; and 10 a.m. June 24 at Fort Walla Walla Museum, 755 Myra Road.

Free open rehearsals, all to be held 10 a.m.-noon, will be Saturday at Salumiere Cesario, 112 E. Main St.; Monday at Mace Mead Works, 250 E. Main St., Dayton; Wednesday at Kirkman House Museum, 214 N. Colville St.; June 12 at First Presbyterian Church, 325 South First Ave.; June 17 at Fort Walla Walla Museum, 755 Myra Road; June 19 at First Presbyterian Church, 325 S. First Ave.; June 20 at AMO Art, 117 Main St., Waitsburg; June 23 at Columbia REA, 2929 Melrose St.; June 24 at Fort Walla Walla Museum, 755 Myra Road; and June 26 at Whitehouse-Crawford Restaurant, 55 W. Cherry St.
