Letter - Say no to negative campaigning

What would you do if you are an employer interviewing for a difficult job that takes a breadth of knowledge and expertise to accomplish successfully?

You have three applicants and two out of the three can only criticize the third instead of enthusiastically extolling their qualifications to do the best possible job for you. My experience in past job interviews is we would not even consider hiring anyone who exhibited such negativism, especially to the degree I am hearing in the race for Walla Walla County sheriff.

Let’s just say no to this type of negative campaigning. Let’s hire the candidate with the best qualifications and experience — John Turner.

Become an informed voter. Take the time to study the candidates’ materials as they pertain to their ability to do the work — not their ability to slam other candidates.

Attend a John Turner meet-and-greet or a candidates’ forum and judge for yourself what kind of sheriff and person John is.

Research the Sheriff candidates instead of listening to rumors and half truths. Here are some links to go to:

Link to the Sheriff Candidates Forum that was held in Touchet June 24, 2014.

Here are the links to the interviews done by the radio station KUJ. Just scroll down the page until you find each candidate (John Turner, Barry Blackman, Tom Cooper). http://kujam.com/common/page.php?id=52

Are these the edited versions Turner?

Give it a rest cropcircles. Your endless negative comments are ridiculous. What was edited? Where's your video? Oh, that's right, the other candidates chose to walk out on the voters instead of doing their own recording. They could have even recorded it on their cell phone.
