Letter - Sheriff Turner has been ethical, impartial and fair

Sheriff John Turner has done an excellent job in his first term as sheriff of Walla Walla County.

He has made good on his promise to have 24-hour patrols in the rural areas of the county. He has visited the outlying areas and met with us on a regular, communicated schedule, something his predecessor didn’t ever do.

We have a positive presence of the Sheriff’s Office on our school campus in Burbank, and a win-win for both the school district and Sheriff’s Office, another first under his administration.

He has been ethical, impartial and fair in his dealings with everyone, another area his predecessor had a less than stellar record in.

No mismanagement of public funds or embezzlement on his watch, unlike the sad case under his predecessor.

Despite all the mudslinging by his opponents, and the U-B’s slanted coverage and reporting, Sheriff Turner is well qualified, fair and impartial, can do the job, has made positive changes that were long overdue and certainly deserves another term as sheriff.
