Sweets welcome back DeSales grad Robinson

WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Sweets have added DeSales grad and Walla Walla Community College player J.J. Robinson for a second season of West Coast League baseball.

Brian Greisman, from Murray State College, also joins the team for his first season of WCL baseball.

Robinson, a 6-foot, 2-inch, 200-pound sophomore at WWCC, joined the Sweets as a utility player last year. He saw regular playing time primarily as a catcher and outfielder, hitting .243 for the Sweets with seven doubles. On the mound Robinson was 1-0 in 11 innings of work recording nine strikeouts. Robinson played for the Washington State Cougars in 2013 before transferring to WWCC.

Greisman, a 6-3, 190-pound right handed pitcher, is a sophomore at Murray State, and was part of a team that won the 2013 NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
