Washington, Oregon gasoline prices continue steep rises

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Washington and Oregon gasoline prices saw big jumps at the pumps over the past week, with prices exceeding the national average.

The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.55. That’s up 9 cents in a week and 23 cents in a month. It’s 6 cents higher than the national average.

Some Eastern Washington metro prices from AAA’s weekly survey: Yakima $3.50, Tri-Cities $3.39, and Spokane $3.37.

The auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.51.

That’s up 9 cents in a week and 23 cents in a month. It’s 2 cents higher than the national average.

Some Oregon metro prices:

Portland $3.49, Salem $3.51, Eugene-Springfield $3.55, and Medford-Ashland $3.55.
