DAYTON — The Dayton Historic Depot’s current exhibit is Our Old Quilts: Patterns of Love & Memory, consisting of 20 quilts from the permanent collection of the Depot and Dayton’s Boldman House Museum.
According to a news release from the Depot, quilts offer a glimpse into Dayton’s past and act as a “scrapbook of relationships and events.”
Quilts served many functions, giving comfort and warmth, adding color to a home, displaying artistic interests and providing a channel to participate in a community. The exhibit is open now and will run until the end of September.
The Dayton Historic Depot, 222 E Commercial Street, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and by appointment.
