Pomeroy softball team drops Asotin JV


POMEROY — The Pomeroy High School softball team scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure a 13-3 win over the Asotin junior varsity team on Thursday.

The Pirates (2-2) scored their runs on only seven hits, as Esther Schuh notched three and Emma Woodland clubbed two, including a three-run triple.

“We played a great game and really hit the ball,” Pomeroy coach Jessica Nelson said. “The girls have improved so much and show they can be very competitive. This is a great way to start out our year.”

Pomeroy travels to face Dayton on Tuesday.
