Lyons leads DeSales to sweep over Asotin

ASOTIN — DeSales High School cruised behind the pitching of Ashlyn Lyons here Saturday in opening Southeast 2B softball doubleheader action. The Irish took the opener, 11-0, and won a back-and-forth battle in the second game with eight runs over the last two innings to defeat Asotin 13-8 and complete the sweep.

Lyons struck out nine, gave up only three hits and blanked the Panthers. The Irish offense did its part as it bashed out 12 hits to support Lyons. Lyons’ three hits led the way. Maddy Thomas, Kaylee Brown and Alyssa James chipped in two each.
